The Oversized Black Pullover: Why It's the Only Knitwear You Need

An oversized black pullover has always been one of my style secrets.

This season, we’re calling out the Oversized Mock Neck. When it came to choosing a colour for the Mock Neck Pullover, black was the only option we needed. Why? Because it simply works with everything. It is elevated, timeless, and endlessly versatile. An all-black look is a perennial favourite, but it also pairs beautifully with an ecru base or true blue denim.

Think of it as a knitwear blazer

Consider this the blazer of your knitwear collection: clean, refined, and the ultimate throw-on-and-go piece. It pairs effortlessly with everything from tailored trousers to relaxed skirts.

Like a good blazer, it asks nothing of the rest of your outfit.

We have kept it simple and elegant, offering it exclusively in 100% Australian Merino in black.

How it's made

The Maxted Mock Neck Pullover features a ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem, with a cocoon silhouette that softly shapes the body. Sarcha, here, wears a Small and is typically an Extra Small.

Why Australian Merino

Knitted in 100% Australian Merino, sourced from Halls Gap, Victoria (learn more about our Merino wool), this yarn offers warmth without weight and a natural lustre that holds across seasons. Once you experience 100% Merino, you'll never want to wear anything else. Merino's fine fibre diameter means it sits closer to the skin than standard wool without the itch, the reason it remains the benchmark for high-winter knitwear.

The Mock Neck Pullover is available now, exclusively in black. Shop it here.
