Neutral knitwear colours don't all need to to be pale like the Driftwood, Wicker and Pale Oat, like we have in our collection. Neutral knitwear really comes alive when stacked next to Golden, Caramel and Chestnut tones. You can shop our Bright Neutrals collection here and see what is inside that massive stack of neutral knitwear!
These autumn tones feel fresh. This season we have moved away from mustard tones towards Chestnut and Pale Oat. Let's look at a few of the styles and make sure you are across some of my favourite options for the colder weather we are now feeling.
.
First in the line up, one I'm excited to launch this week - the Sadie Pullover in Golden. The yarn is a mohair blend and comprises flecks of colours mused together.
The style features a front and back curved hem line that I love. I lived in this style when we visited the UK over Christmas. The colour pairs really well with blue which we're seeing a lot more of at Maxted (not that I am giving anything away for my next collection).
Here is the Chestnut Merino Soft Touch Cable Pullover. This colour feels so cosy as it reminds me of my UGG boots which instantly warms me up. Australian Merino is our premium yarn and this our best-selling style.
If you want to know more about this bestselling Australian knitwear style and why it's so special to me you can read my blog post here.
Here is another bright neutral knitwear, in an Australian Merino style - the Paris Roll Neck in our best-selling colour, Pale Oat. On a Sunday night I take stock of the past week's sales, and last week the Merino Pale Oat colour was the clear favourite across all ladies knitwear styles. This colour is timeless and classic.
Here is another Roll Neck, but this time at a lower price point. It's a cotton blend with a textured stitch. Luna Roll Neck in Wicker is a great option for neutral dressing. I've been wearing this style a lot over leggings and jeans, walking the dog or heading to a farmer's market here in Torquay. It keeps me feeling warm on colder days.
I just want to remind you how well these tones work with brown, known as 'Bark' in our AW22 collection. This colour isn't in this stack but we can see how the Fine Gauge Roll Neck in Bark will fit in perfectly with your casual wardrobe.
